HARBOUR MASTERS BRINGS THE CURTAIN DOWN

19/10/26

Double winners Poole Speedway hand their stage over to developing riders on Wednesday night (21st October 7.30pm) when they host the Harbour Masters Championship.

Headlining the event will be two teenagers from the highly successful Pirates side of 2026, British U21 Champion Cooper Rushen and William Cairns, but they will have fierce competition from their fellow U19 competitor Luke Harrison, whilst Dan Gilkes who was initially part of the Pirates' 2026 plans, will also be keen to get amongst the honours.

Poole promoter Dan Ford said, '

We have made a slight change to the format this year, with the meeting now featuring a 12-rider lineup rather than the originally planned sixteen, but I'm really pleased with the field we've put together. There's a great mix of exciting young talent and more experienced riders, and I'm sure they'll put on a fantastic show.'

'It's particularly pleasing to have two of our title-winning Pirates, Will Cairns and Cooper Rushen, involved. We've also got some former Pirates returning to Wimborne Road and who knows, perhaps even a few future Pirates in the lineup!'

'This will be the final meeting of the British Speedway season, so hopefully we can go out with a bang! It's been an incredible year for the club, and it would be great to see a big crowd down at Wimborne Road for one last night of racing before the long winter break.'

Riders booked: Ollie Binns, William Cairns, Dan Gilkes, Luke Harris, Luke Harrison, Seth Norman, Darryl Ritchings, Cooper Rushen, Charlie Southwick ,Ashton Vale, Ben Whalley and Mickey Simpson.
