PREVIEW: PIRATES HEAD TO EDINBURGH FOR SEMI FINAL ACTION

Poole head to Scotland this evening for the first leg of their BSN semi-final tie against the solid looking Edinburgh Monarchs.

The Pirates have booked Tate Zischke to guest in place of the injured Fraser Bowes, but otherwise will be unchanged from the side that resoundingly beat the Glasgow Tigers on Wednesday. And, for the second time this week will face Chris Harris at number one, for he stands in as a guest due to the collarbone injury that has kept Dan Thompson out of action. 

Although having drawn twice at home this season already, the Monarchs are more than a force to be reckoned with, not least due to the form of Kye Thomson who is in undoubtedly enjoying his best season in six with the Monarchs.

The meeting will see Cooper Rushen ride at reserve for the last time as he achieved his official average on Wednesday, which takes effect from the 3rd June, although the Pirates won't be racing as a unit until the return fixture of this BSN Series semi-final on Wednesday 10th June.
