BRITISH CHAMPIONS TO CONTEST THE RIBAND

17/09/25

Two riders with eight Individual British Champion titles between them will be contesting the 2025 Poole Blue Riband at Wimborne Road on Wednesday 24th September (19.30).

Seven-times British champion Scott Nicholls, who has made a positive comeback since suffering a serious shoulder injury last October will be making his third appearance in a Blue Riband event whilst 2023 British Champion and 2025 SCB Premiership Grand Finalist, Adam Ellis returns to the field after appearing in the previous staging (along with Nicholls) in 2016.

Announcing them as confirmed starters, Dan Ford said "there is quality in both these former Poole riders and to have them agreeing to compete is a fantastic. Scott almost won the title last time, losing out to Edward Kennett in a run-off, whilst Adam is a great trier. He had been due to ride for us in 2020 but that season never got off the ground and then of course we stepped into the Championship."

The two former British Champions join Richard Lawson, Lewis Kerr, Anders Rowe, Paul Starke, William Cairns, Zach Cook, Tobias Thomsen, Nicolai Klindt and Jonas Jeppesen for the 32nd staging of Poole's major individual competition.
