The Poole 'Wessex Marines' Pirates wait for a potential back-to-back treble achievement has been extended by forty-eight hours as tonight's (Wednesday 22nd October) BSN Series Final second leg has been postponed due to predicted adverse weather conditions.
Heavy and persistent rain is forecasted in the area from early evening which had led to the early decision in the interests of all parties.
Poole promoter Dan Ford has confirmed that "in agreement with both sides and with the co-operation of the stadium management we have been able to quickly re-schedule this final to Friday (24th October) and the forecast is much improved for then. We apologise to any fans who may have made advanced travelling arrangements but we hope that in making this early decision we can minimize the inconvenience. All pre-purchased tickets will be rolled over to Friday but in the event that supporters will be unable to attend the new date than they can submit their request for a refund by emailing info@poole-speedway.com."
