PIRATES TO FACE REDCAR FOR BSN SERIES TITLE

13/10/25

The 2025 BSN Series Final will be a repeat of the MaxiCab Knockout Cup final between Poole and Redcar.

Redcar's qualification for the final came under the heat advantage countback rule after their home leg of the semi-final against Glasgow had to be abandoned after a horror crash in heat fourteen. The result of that heat was awarded as a Glasgow 4-2 after Jake Allen, guesting for the Bears crashed and his bike flew into the crowd. Those two points for Glasgow meant the aggregate scores were level and so, under rule, the count-back decider came into reckoning with Redcar having 8 heat gains over the two legs and Glasgow seven.

Poole and Redcar have confirmed the dates for the final, with the Pirates making their third visit to Redcar in the space of a fortnight, on Saturday 18th October and the concluding leg will be raced at Wimborne Road on Wednesday 22nd October .
