PREVIEW: PIRATES HEAD TO DEVON LOOKING FOR POINTS
Poole 'Wessex Marine' Pirates will be out to make it three from three when they travel to Plymouth on Saturday 26th April (7pm) in the BSN ...
KELVIN Tatum and Nigel Pearson, speedway’s TV double-act, are going on tour – and the first two venues will be Poole and Somerset.
The Sky Sports presenters will entertain fans with an evening of topical debate, stories and laughter in their own unique style live on stage at Poole’s Wimborne Road on Thursday, February 19 and the Oak Tree Arena the following night, Feb 20.
‘Tatum and Pearson Live!’ made a one-off appearance in Wolverhampton last February and pulled in a capacity 250 crowd.
Now by popular demand the duo are set to take the show elsewhere and a big response is expected with admission on the door just £6.
Said Tatum: “I enjoyed the one evening we did on stage last winter, it was a great night with stories and opinion from my racing days to working with Nigel on TV and the banter we enjoy with the audience.
“Basically, we did it for a bit of fun and the response was extraordinary, we kept getting asked throughout the season if we could go elsewhere and that’s what we have decided to do.
“The first two dates confirmed are Poole and Somerset and we have plans to add a couple more on top of that. I’m very much looking forward to it.”
Tatum won the World Long Track title three times and was also England skipper last time they won the world cup back in 1989.
He has many stories to tell from his racing days, particularly when he discusses former team mates like the late Kenny Carter and Simon Wigg.
Pearson is one of the busiest sports broadcasters in the UK working on Speedway and Darts for Sky Sports as well as regularly covering top football games for TalkSPORT.
The duo are also the voice of the Speedway Grand Prix series worldwide along with the Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup.
It’s a great opportunity to meet the pair and enjoy an entertaining night just ahead of the new speedway season.
