Pirates Supporting Businesses

25/06/20

"It's been a few weeks since I checked in with everyone, and I'm hoping this latest message finds you all in good health, both physically and mentally.

Our viewing numbers with the website and through Dan's endless social media presence for the club have been nothing short of sensational during our collective period of inactivity. With this in mind, I am opening up our platforms to you all, our sponsors both past and present, and of course the heart of the club - you the supporters.

To say the last 3 months have been testing times for us all would be an understatement.

I mentioned on my last post that the club needs you now more than ever, but in truth I believe WE ALL need each other in the days ahead.

With this thought, I want to reach out and ask, can we through the club channels help you in anyway?

Yesterday I caught up with longstanding sponsor of the club Andy Tracey from County Crest Pallets, who along with his wife Karen and business partner Bo have financially assisted the club for longer than I can remember.

So many times in the last 15 years or so, County Crest Pallets have been by our side when we've needed help. During our conversation, Andy mentioned that his own business has survived the lockdown, but to get up and running need to purchase the very core of his business - Pallets

This is where you all come in. Do you or your collective friends or business associates know anyone that can help? CCP have always paid top prices for Pallets, and can collect from most areas in the country.

Surely, between us all we can get this cog moving again and find the one thing Andy needs? If you can help please contact County Crest on 01489 795576

Earlier this week, Ian Bell of Bells Decor advertised via Facebook that he is looking for staff in his Painting and Decorating business. In these uncertain times, and with the worrying stories of redundancies, we must know of Painters and Decorators between us looking for work? If you can help please contact Bells Decor via their website http://bellsdecor.co.uk

I mention these two companies because I'm in touch with them regularly, but if you feel the club can help you, or your business please ask. It doesn't matter if you have been associated with the club or not, we will all only prosper if the country can bounce back from its darkest period in most of our lives. For now, we cannot open our gates for racing, and get together on a Wednesday night. I know so many of you miss the social interaction of The Pirates more than any other event. The clubs very foundation is built upon teamwork, and that's why I hope we can all assist each other in anyway possible?

So, if you are looking for staff, if you're looking for trade help, if you have a special offer to get your business back up and running, and the club can help - please ask by emailing info@poole-speedway.com

We want nothing in return but to help all of those that follow the great sport of Speedway.

Kindest Regards"

Matt Ford
