BOWES RULED OUT FOR REMAINDER OF 2026 SEASON

The No1 Carpet Cleaning Poole Pirates will have to take maximum points from a tough clash at King’s Lynn tomorrow night (7.30pm) if they are to keep alive their hopes of progression in the Supporters’ Cup.
The Pirates suffered a heavy defeat at Ipswich on Thursday night, which was added to the loss at home to Swindon on Good Friday.
And although a home victory against the Witches and away draw at Swindon has seen the Pirates accumulate five points in the South Group, they would need to take the maximum seven points available from their final two group meetings against the Stars to stand any chance of reaching the final.
Having used guests Scott Nicholls and Tobiasz Musielak in Thursday’s defeat at Foxhall, the Pirates will welcome back Brady Kurtz and Nicolai Klindt, who both missed the trip to Suffolk due to commitments in Sweden.
And team manager Neil Middleditch will also be back steering the ship, after Somerset’s Garry May stepped in to take charge of team affairs on Thursday.
The Stars, meanwhile, are sweating on an injury to Australian Ty Proctor, who was involved in a crash racing for Sheffield on Saturday.
But the home side will have been buoyed by the performance of captain Robert Lambert, who reached the semi-finals of Saturday’s FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Poland.
Lambert was called up to the opening GP in Warsaw after American legend Greg Hancock opted to take a break from racing to care for wife Jennie, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
Stars: Robert Lambert, Erik Riss, Ty Proctor (if fit), Lewis Kerr, Thomas Jorgensen, Michael Palm Toft, Kasper Andersen.
Pirates: Jack Holder, Richie Worrall, Nicolai Klindt, Josh Grajczonek, Brady Kurtz, Nico Covatti, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen.
