FANS URGED TO PRE-BOOK FOR GRAND FINAL

The Poole ‘Wessex Marine’ Pirates are gearing up for a massive Grand Final clash against Oxford, with Poole hosting the decisive second leg on Friday, 27th September.

With excitement building, Pirates promoter Dan Ford is urging fans to pre-book their tickets to avoid missing out on what is expected to be a huge crowd.

Dan Ford shared his excitement ahead of the final:

"This is going to be a huge fixture for both clubs, and we’re expecting a bumper crowd at Wimborne Road. It's going to be a fantastic night of speedway with everything on the line. We really want to encourage fans to pre-book their tickets to guarantee entry because we could very well hit capacity, and this will also help reduce queuing times on the night. We don’t want anyone to miss out!"

Ford also addressed the decision to race on Friday instead of the usual Wednesday:

"We do regret that some fans may be unable to make it on a Friday night, and we understand that. However, with Oxford unable to field a full team on  Wednesday 2nd of October the next available Wednesday would not be until the 9th, that would mean 4 weeks since our last home fixture, we felt it was too long to wait. We’ve also got two other finals to run, and it would have been tough to push everything back that far. Running on our alternative Friday race night was the best option to keep things moving."
