ROCKETMAN LAUNCHES TEAM PLANS FOR 2026
The architect of the past eight trophies for the Pirates, Richard Lawson, will be back for a fifth term in 2026.
The Pirates' next opponents, Oxford, who visit Wimborne Road on Wednesday night, have been given a boost folllowing the cancellation of a couple of meetings in Denmark this week.
The Cheetahs, the only side to have won at Wimborne Road this season, had been due to lose out on the services of Francis Gusts who was riding for Sønderjylland Elite Speedway at Fjelsted, but that meeting was postponed late on Monday and then Jonas Knudsen became available when his Holsted side, posatponed their Wednesday night fixture against GSK Liga.
That has allowed them to stand down guests Jacob Hook and Darryl Ritchings and will have their regular side, with the exception of the injured Jordan Jenkins, to face the table-topping Pirates.
