DANISH DUO JOIN RIBAND LINE UP
14/09/25Plymouth's Nicolai Klindt and Berwick's Jonas Jeppesen will compete in the re-launched Poole Blue Riband which is being held at Wimborne Road on Wednesday 24th September (19.30).
Klindt became a marquee signing for the Plymouth Gladiators this season and has achieved an 8.63 average this season, the seventh highest in the SGB Championship whilst, fellow Dane, Jeppesen is another in the top ten, on a 8.20 figure. He joined Berwick mid-term as cover for the injured former Poole Pirate Danyon Hume who suffered a season-ending crash at the beginning of July.
Confirming Klindt and Jeppesen, Dan Ford said, "we pledged to make this season's Blue Riband as competitive as possible and both Nicolai and Jonas fit the bill perfectly. It will be a first appearance here for Jonas, whilst Nicolai has proven time and again that he can score well here at Wimborne Road."
The two Danes join their compatriot Tobias Thomsen in the line-up, as all seven 'Wessex Marine' Pirates have already been confirmed as starters.
