Poole can confirm that two Wednesday night vacancies in the calendar have now been filled with the home semi-final legs in both the Knockout Cup and the BSN Series.
First up will be the visit of Scunthorpe on Wednesday 24th July (7.30pm), which will be a rematch of last season's KO Cup final whilst the first leg of the BSN Semi-final will be staged at Wimborne Road on Wednesday 21st August (7.30pm) with the league's new boys Workington the opponents.
Announcing these dates, promoter Dan Ford said "We have been working hard behind the scenes to sort out dates for these two competitions and I am pleased that we have now been able to secure our home legs. At the present time we cannot give any insight as to when the prospective away legs will be diarised for, but I would like to assure all our supporters that we are determined to get this resolved as soon as possible.
With the Speedway of Nations (SON) taking centre stage there will be no action at Wimborne Road this week, the Pirates returning to league engagement on Wednesday 17th July when they host the south-west derby against the familiar Plymouth Gladiators.
