REF DARTS NIGHT
The Poole Pirates Riders Equipment Fund have announced details of their next social evening, which will take place on Wednesday 12th March, 7.30pm ...
The cream of third tier British Speedway will be heading to Wimborne Road on Wednesday June 26th, with Poole Speedway proudly hosting the National Development League Riders' Championship.
Promoter Dan Ford has announced that the club has been successful in securing the rights to stage this event and explains "as part of our commitment to the development of riders which we signed up to at the winter AGM we are delighted to be able to bring this marquee event of the NDL season to Poole. I am certain that we will be in for twenty two heats of exciting individual racing, with the competition being run over the standard twenty heats where all riders meet their opponents once and then a sem-final, culminating in a Grand Final and the crowning of 2024 NDL Riders' Champion."
"We had initially hoped to have used this spare date in our calendar to fulfill our semi-final home leg in either the Knockout Cup or the BSN Series, but unfortunately neither Scunthorpe nor Workington, respectively, could accommodate us, so with the staging of the NDLRC at least we can all look forward to some racing at Wimborne Road, given that it has been a bit of a barren month for us."
Two nominated riders from each of the six National Development league teams - Belle Vue Colts, Monarchs Academy, Leicester Cubs, Middlesbrough Tigers, Oxford Chargers and Scunthorpe/Sheffield Stags - together with four wild cards will contest the event with the full line-up expected to be confirmed in the forthcoming days.
Admission prices have been set at £15 Adults, £13 Concessions, £7 Student rate, £3 Youth (11 to 16), Free for Under 11's. Season Tickets will not be applicable for this meeting. Advanced sale tickets will be on sale shortly.
