BSN SERIES FINAL MOVED TO FRIDAY

Next up at the south coast haven of British speedway, Wimborne Road, will be the visit of the most Northern English club, the Berwick Bandits, on Wednesday 29th May (7.30pm), who arrive with a quartet of past Pirates in the shape of Rory Schlein, Lewis Kerr, Drew Kemp and Danyon Hume, which gives cause for promoter Dan Ford to anticipate a tough task ahead of his charges.
"I don't think we can get too carried away with the really big scores that we have been posting here, as we witnessed in the cup when Edinburgh held us to single fingers. Berwick have a solid side, headed by Rory and Lewi and adding invaluable support are Drew and Danyon. They have all ridden for us in the not too distant past and no doubt they will be looking to try and put one over their former club."
"That said our lads are riding well at present and putting in some very solid performances as we saw when we opened our league campaign with a win at their place in what was a thrilling meeting. I think we could have an equally exciting meeting on our hands and I hope that our fans will come out in their numbers and really get behind the team."
The 'Wessex Marine' Pirates have been rampant around their home circuit this year with two identical thirty point victories (v Oxford and Workington) and most recently a twenty six point demolition of neighbours Plymouth, from the four meetings staged so far.
Besides the four former Pirates, the Bandits will track Australian Jye Etheridge, Dane Bastian Borke and young Brit, Freddy Hodder.
Wednesday's meeting will feature no fewer than five riders involved in the forthcoming British Finals, with Poole duo Richard Lawson and Tom Brennan joing Schlein and Kerr in the sixteen strong line-up whilst Kemp has been named as one of the two reserves for the event which is being held at the National Speedway Stadium, Belle Vue on Saturday June 8th.
