WRIGHT OUT OF CUP FINAL

The Redcar Bears have suffered a major blow as they head to Wimborne Road this evening (Wednesday 12th October) without their skipper Charles Wright.

The former British champion sustained a concussion injury on Monday night whilst competing for his Premiership side, Belle Vue, in the top flight play-offs and consequently is unable to take his place in the Redcar side.The Bears have moved to book Edinburgh's Kye Thomson as a guest to cover. 

The Pirates, seeking the first leg of a season treble and a successful defence of the Knockout Cup, go in to the meeting with a seven point advantage from last Friday's first leg.
