PIRATES UNBEATEN IN SCOTLAND

The Pirates' league title defence goes back on the line on Wednesday 7th September with the club confirming that they will be hosting their home leg of the SGB Championship quarter final play-offs, with their opponents still to be determined.
Having guaranteed the third place finish in the table, the Pirates know that they will face the side that finishes in the sixth, and final, qualifying position. Depending on future results, one of three clubs - Scunthorpe (the current occupants), Redcar (7th) or Plymouth (5th) - could still finish in sixth place.
Promoter Dan Ford explained "we are having to plan our meetings because we are still actively involved in all three competitions the league are staging, but whoever our opponents turn out to be it will be very much like a final for us. That is the approach we need to take as all our remaining fixtures could be competition eliminators. Tickets for the 7th will be going on sale shortly and we would encourage fans to book early as it will be a big meeting for us. I would remind all season ticket holders that they will need to purchase a ticket for all our future meetings."
