EASTER PREVIEW
The Poole 'Wessex Marine' Pirates face a tough opening fixture on Good Friday (6pm) when they welcome Devonshire cousins Plymouth Gladiator...
For a second successive season the Poole Pirates will have backing from the prestigious property developers Morrish Homes.
Poole promoter Dan Ford said "Our association with Morrish has been going from strength to strength and it has been great to see a large turn-out of Morrish staff and guests and they all seemed to really get behind the team from the word go and I want to thank them for their continued support.
"They are a great company for us to be associated with and their reputation as developers of premium homes in the area speaks for itself, and I consider it to be a true honour for the club to be associated with such a prestigious company."
Morrish Homes was established in 1982 and within their first ten years had introduced a 'heritage home' brand that led to them becoming royally involved with development of the Poundbury estate, owned by the Duchy of Cornwall reflecting HRH Prince of Wales' vision to create a traditional, mixed use, sustainable development with a strong sense of community in the late 1990's.
The success of this project forged the pathway to becoming involved in the Duchy's Newquay growth and five years ago the Tregunnel Hill's 74 home development was completed, earning commendation in the 2016 Sunday Times British Property Awards and later UK Property and CNU awards. Morrish Homes were invited to become part of the wider, prestigious Duchy of Cornwall Nansledan consortium scheme as a result of this success.
With further developments established in Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset, the company has maintained its policy of employing local craftsmen and sourcing sustainable materials for their projects as they have assumed a position as a leading regional development company.
