17 year old, two times British Youth Champion, Nathan Ablitt has been confirmed as the Pirates' number seven for the forthcoming season.
Ablitt, who has won the British Youth championship in 2016 at 150cc level and 2018 at 250cc grade, had brief Championship experience with Eastbourne in 2021, before the Eagles withdrew from the league.
He arrives at Wimborne Road on the back of a number of strong recommendations, as Poole promoter Dan Ford explains, "We spoke with our good friends who were involved with Eastbourne and they give Nathan a glowing report, as too did contacts we have in the GB Youth set-up and we are delighted to welcome him to Poole."
"Nathan comes in on a 2.00 point average and obviously he will be at reserve for us, but with the team we have planned, there will be plenty of experience for Nathan to draw on and I believe that our fans will enjoy watching this very talented young lad develop."
Nathan joins skipper Danny King and last season's top scoring Pirate, Steve Worrall as confirmed starters for the Pirates with Ford admitting that further announcements are to follow next week.
