Poole Speedway announce Morrish Homes Partnership

17/03/21

With the advent of the 2021 speedway season now just a matter of months away, Poole Speedway are eagerly looking to developing their association with local family owned business Morrish Homes.

Pirates' promoter Dan Ford revealed "it is a great pleasure to announce Morrish Homes as a key member of our partnership portfolio and we are delighted to have a company of Morrish's high standard and reputation on board . Initially our association with them was due to start in 2020, the season that never happened, but they were as keen as we were to roll the agreement over to this year and it is with great enthusiasm that I can confirm we have their backing for this year,"

'Building quality homes through generations' , Morrish Homes was established in 1982 and within their first ten years had introduced a 'heritage home' brand that led to them becoming royally involved with development of the Poundbury estate, owned by the Duchy of Cornwall reflecting HRH Prince of Wales' vision to create  a traditional, mixed use, sustainable development with a strong sense of community in the late 1990's.

The success of this project forged the pathway to becoming involved in the Duchy's Newquay growth and five years ago the Tregunnel Hill's 74 home development was completed, earning commendation in the 2016 Sunday Times British Property Awards and later UK Property and CNU awards. Morrish Homes were invited to become part of the wider, prestigious Duchy of Cornwall  Nansledan consortium scheme as a result of this success.

With further developments established in Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset, the company has maintained its policy of employing local craftsmen and sourcing sustainable materials for their projects as they have assumed a position as a leading regional development company.

Commenting on the partnership Morrish Homes Associate Director Tim Bishop said
“Morrish Homes are delighted to be in partnership with Poole Speedway and look forward to a successful and long association with such an iconic sporting band. Their success over a generation speaks for itself and we are excited to be able to get involved this year following the disappointment of not being able to be present at Wimborne Road in 2020”
