HOLDER UNASSAILABLE EARLY AUGUST AGAINST LIONS

7/08/20

In his 294 meeting career with the Pirates the 2012 World Champion and Poole superstar Chris Holder scored two maximums against Leicester and both were achieved in the first week of August!

Holder, who in total registered 17 full maximums and 23 paid versions with Poole,  rode seven times against teams from Leicester and his first unbeaten performance against them was posted on Wednesday 5th August 2015 as Poole ran out 64-29 winners, a night that saw Kyle Newman "max out" for the third time in his Poole career.

Then, in the corresponding week of 2016 the Pirates again faced Lions opposition and Holder reeled off five straight wins for his 15th full maximum and 35th unbeaten performance with Poole hammering the Lions 58-35.

Coincidentally, Holder's co-maximum man on that 2015 occasion, Kyle Newman, can also boast a brace of August maximums against Leicester having scored 12 from 4 when the two clubs met on the 20th of the month in 2014!
