FIXTURE NEWS
Poole Speedway has announced a couple of changes to their SGB Championship programme
Adam Ellis has reported that his broken wrist is well on the mend and that he will travelling to Poland next week to begin a course of physiotherapy to restore it to full fitness.
Ellis, currently domiciled in France sustained the damage when taking part in a cancer charity cycle ride and although league racing in Britain has now been officially cancelled for the year, the GB international is hoping to get the all clear to enable him to ride in Poland at the end of the month for RzTŻ Rzeszów.
Adam' s thoughts on the cancellation of the British season are that "it was disappointing to hear the news as obviously we had all been hopeful to get the season started, but unfortunately that's not going to be the case. I have my fingers crossed that some clubs might be doing open meetings or we can do some challenge matches in due course but that will be dependent on the sport being allowed to have spectators in the stadium and as I understand it, that is not likely to be the case until October.
"Personally, I am now focusing on ensuring the wrist continues to heal and undergo the physio sessions next week so that I am ready for the match against Opole on the 31st."
