ADAM'S BREAK LENGTHENED DUE TO CHARITY CYCLE CRASH

14/07/20

In addition to waiting for the green light clearance for racing to resume, the Poole Pirates now have an anxious time for Adam Ellis to recover from a wrist injury sustained whilst fundraising.

Ellis was cycling for a cancer charity in France when he crashed on a downhill stretch of the attempted 500km ride and suffered bruising and scratches in addition to the more serious broken wrist.

Poole co-promoter Dan Ford said "our first thoughts are to send Adam our best wishes for a speedy recovery. He was trying to do some good and help out others and it has resulted in him still facing a potential period off the track once we get speedway up and running in this country. We can only hope that he recovers well and that it won't be too long before he can be back on a bike."
