BOWES RULED OUT FOR REMAINDER OF 2026 SEASON

Although facing two Wednesday nights without a speedway meeting to organise, Poole promoter Dan Ford is looking forward to having the Pirates back in action in front of full crowds when two former club heroes return to Wimborne Road on July 21st.
Ford said, "I think the whole nation was given a boost on Monday evening when the Prime Minister laid out the plans for the move to step 4, which hopefully will happen on July 19th, and provided that all goes to plan then it will be particularly pleasing to host a speedway meeting without the constraints that we have had to contend with, for all the right reasons, at our first two matches.
"As things stand, we will need to wait to see what catering facilities will be available at the stadium and we hope to be able to update our patrons on that aspect shortly, but with Plymouth due in town on July 21st for the second leg of the KO Cup there is a lot to look forward. Not least that Bjarne (Pedersen) and Jason (Crump) will be back, but of course there will be the added ingredient of Zane Keleher returning, hopefully not to haunt us though.
"Whilst it is our intention to allow supporters to pay cash on the night, we will continue to offer advance bookings and tickets for our next four meetings will be put on sale through the website later this week.
The Pirates are next in action on Tuesday 13th July when they visit the Coliseum at Plymouth again, this time with league points at stake, but the club have updated the fixture list and only have the away trip to Birmingham to re-schedule after the following changes:
Scunthorpe away – this has been pushed back by one week from Friday 23rd July to Friday 30th July
Birmingham home will now be staged on SUNDAY 29th August with a 5pm start time
Poole v Glasgow will be a 7.30pm start on FRIDAY 3rd September
