EASTER PREVIEW
The Poole 'Wessex Marine' Pirates face a tough opening fixture on Good Friday (6pm) when they welcome Devonshire cousins Plymouth Gladiator...
Josh Grajczonek and Frederik Jakobsen will bring the Pirates' Reaction video streams to a close, at least for a temporary period, when on Wednesday night, they reflect on the 2018 Grand Final second leg at King's Lynn.
The pair, who collectively made 54 appearances for the Pirates during the club's Platinum campaign of will link up with Nigel Leahy for an entertaining discussion on that Grand Final, the season as a whole and undoubtedly more general speedway comment.
Co-promoter Dan Ford said "We are grateful to Josh and Frederik for making themselves available for this review broadcast. They both made significant contributions to the team in 2018 and I am sure that they will make similar impact on Wednesday when they look back, probably not only on the play-off final of that season, but also the season as a whole and quite possibly sharing some interesting stories relating to their Pirate career's to-date.
" We have been streaming meetings for the past eight weeks and we will be taking a break after Wednesday's showing of the 2018 Grand Final second leg but we are looking at bringing our fans more meeting in future weeks, whilst also hoping that we will soon be in a position to resume live Speedway, dependent on course on Government restrictions being lifted. As a club we share the cautious optimism expressed by the Board of Directors of British Speedway Promoters Ltd that at some stage we will be able resume a season of some description and it is the desire of Poole Speedway to be part of that."
Jakobsen joined the Pirates in July, slotting into the reserve berth as a replacement for Mateusz Sczepaniak.
Grajczonek - who had ridden at some stage of each of the Pirates' hat-trick winning seasons of 2013 to 2015, was competing in his second play-off final for the club.
