PIRATES HEAD DOWN UNDER FOR REACTION FROM LEGENDS

3/05/20

Three club legends will be joining forces on Wednesday (6th May) night  as Poole Speedway continues to add a touch of authenticity to their 'stay at home' race nights. Chris Holder, Darcy Ward and Dave Watt, all of whom are greatly regarded by Poole fans and management alike, will link up with host Nigel Leahy in a special 'post-streaming' reaction, much in line with their popular after meeting press conferences.

Through the channels of video conferencing the legendary threesome, who have made over 630 club appearances for the Pirates will be social distancing whilst sharing their memories of the Pirates 2011 Grand Final second leg against Eastbourne which has been selected as the fourth edition of the Golden Moments series.

Club owner Matt Ford, who was joined by Dane Bjarne Pedersen for last week's reaction session said "I think the idea of getting Darcy, Davey and Chris together is brilliant and full credit to my lad Dan for coming up with the idea of having a follow-up to our meeting streams. It is just one of a number of superb new initiatives that he has brought to the club since taking up a more hands-on role."
"I for one am excited about seeing three of our most popular Aussies back together again. It is quite appropriate too, for in 2011 they contributed more than 500 race points between them and had a host of bonus points too, and I am sure that they will have a lot to say about that Grand Final meeting in particular. "

Through the good offices and co-operation of ReRun Productions and speedwayportal.com all the action from the Wimborne Road staged second leg  will be streamed on the club's Facebook and YouTube channels, links to which will be available from the club's website. The action will get underway from 7.30pm on Wednesday and will be followed up with the lockdown version of a press conference.
