Poole Speedway has announced a couple of changes to their SGB Championship programme
Matt and Dan Ford are keen to acknowledge the unbelievable work that has been conducted by the dedication of the NHS staff, and once speedway is given the green light the Poole Speedway owners will open their doors free of charge to any NHS worker in 2020.
Ford senior, who has been based in France during the Coronavirus outbreak said "I have been following closely all the news stories back home concerning the brilliant work that NHS employees have been doing. It really is remarkable dedication that they have given. It's the same over here with the medical teams working round the clock but some of the stories I have read, and the ends that NHS staff have gone to, in the fulfilness of their duty are astonishing. The country owes them all a massive debt and we at Poole Speedway want to recognise their marvellous efforts in allowing any NHS worker into our 2020 meetings free of charge, on production of their NHS ID card."
Dan, who will be running the day-to-day operation once the restrictions on the sport are lifted added "You hear every day of a different story that simply tugs at your heartstrings. The work that the NHS team are expected to do in an effort to keep us all safe is amazing. Dad and I have spoken about this and by offering them a free visit to the speedway we feel that we giving them something, very small, back in return.
