FORD: EASIER TO FIND RIDERS THAN QUALIFIED TRADESMEN!

22/11/19

Poole boss Matt Ford is delighted with the feedback from Wednesday's announcement that Steve Worrall is joining the club and believes that fans will be equally pleased with the make-up of the Poole team for their first term back at second tier level since 1990.

From his French base, Ford said "I am glad that the fans are as excited as we are about Stevie and this is just the first part of the jigsaw. We expect to make our next announcement concerning the team within the next 4-5 days. To gain a creditable amount of Press coverage we work hand in hand with our partners and carefully plan around other Sports engagements. But I can reveal that the rider in question has represented the Pirates in the past."
"I have to say it has been an interesting challenge for me putting together a Championship side after so many years having been in the top flight. Believe it or not it has been far easier sourcing suitable riders than it has been trying to find quality plumbers for my business here in France. I am desperate to find  a qualified Heating Engineer/Plumber . They just do not seem to be available. If there are any such qualified persons reading this who might be looking for a 2-3 week contract working at a French chateau for good rates of pay and expenses then I would urge them to make themselves known to me.
The project Helen and I have undertaken is a very exciting and challenging one and whilst there are plenty of things we can, and have done, ourselves, it becomes a different matter when it comes to the professional trade jobs. We still have plenty of work to do before we can launch our new business and that is why I am keen to hear from anyone with a suitable heating engineer and plumber's qualification within in the next few days, so that we can timetable the schedule of works."

Anyone who might be interested in assisting Matt should in the first instance email the club at info@poole-speedway.com
