WINTER SOCIALS BEGIN THIS MONTH

The first of five winter social evenings, organised by the Riders' Equipment Fund, will be held on Wednesday 20th November at 7.30pm in the west Grandstand at Poole Stadium.

The main theme of the evening will be a General Knowledge Quiz, always popular with the Poole fans and will be one of three such features this winter, however, with the BSPA Annual Conference taking place this week, fund organiser Stan Vatcher has announced that there will be a special guest on hand to 'enlighten' the Poole fans.

Vatcher said "Danny Ford has confirmed to us that he will be attending and that will provide us the opportunity to hear directly from him as to how his first ever Annual Conference went as a promoter. We all know that the club is hopeful of having their application to the Championship approved and so it will be an ideal chance to learn more about the club's plans should that happen. But, given that we haven't had any speedway to enjoy for a good few weeks now it will also be an ideal chance for fellow supporters to meet up again and that is always an important aspect of these evenings. Hopefully, we will also be able to continue to raise valuable funds to help the riders during the course of the season."

Admission for Wednesday is £4 for REF members and £5 for non-REF members and there will also be the chance for further memberships to be taken out by anyone wishing to become a member.
