Frederik Jakobsen finished sixth overall in this season's world U21 championship, an event won by Pole Bartosz Smektala.
The championship concluded in Pardubice, Czech Rebpublic on Friday night (28th September) with Smektala unbeate in seven rides and Great Britain's Robert Lambert scoring 13 points from his heats, adding a semi-final win before losing out to Smektala in the final. Overall, Lambert finished with the championship bronze medal finishing six points behind the defending champion Maksym Drabik (54) who gained the silver medal. Smektala's championship win came with a 56 point tally across the three rounds.
Jakobsen scored 9 points in Pardubice for a series total of 25. The Dane is included in Saturday's Zlata Stuha (Golden Ribbon) competition, also being held at the Pardubice circuit, the junior event of the Zlata Prilba (Golden Helmet) which takes place on Sunday.
