SOLENT TO CARRY PLAY-OFF COMMENTARY

BBC Radio Solent will be covering tonight's launch of the SGB Premiership play-off involving the Volvo Cars Poole Pirates at Somerset.

Broadcasting on 103.8FM, 1350AM & DAB together with Freewiew 726, Andrew Moon will be providing live commentary of the semi-final leg with reaction pit side from Jordan Clark with the sports programme taking to air from 7pm on those frequencies.

It will be the Pirates fourth visit to the Oaktree Arena this season, a venue at which last term they confirmed their play-off qualification with a dramatic least heat 5-1 decider. This season they have suffered a defeat by 14 points in the Knockout Cup, and two further league defeats, the first earning them an away point, going down 48-42 before suffering a 12 point defeat last time at the venue (20th August).

The meeting is also being covered by BT Sport as part of their season coverage, with Nigel Pearson, Kelvin Tatum and Nathalie Quirk on air from 7.30pm on BT Sport 1.
