KLINDT VOWS TO BE FIT FOR PLAY-OFF

15/09/18

Influential Dane Nicolai Klindt has vowed to be fit in time for the Volvo Cars Poole Pirates play-off semi-final meeting at Somerset on Monday.

Klindt took a fall in heat 10 of Workington's SGB Championship fixture against leaders Peterborough on Friday night and was pulled out of his heat 13 ride with a hand injury.

But after the meeting he posted on his Twitter account that "I am okay after my crash, just sore/swollen knuckle, should be sweet with days rest!"

The rider who returned mid-campaign this season is determined to seek out success with the Pirates. Monday's meeting is the first leg of the play-off semi-final, the Pirates then hosting the concluding rubber on Monday 1st October, looking to make it through to the play-off finals for the first time since 2015, having been beaten at the semi-final stages in the last two seasons, on both occasions being knocked out by the eventual league champions.
