The 'Volvo Cars' Poole Pirates have been presented with a mouth-watering local derby play-off semi-final tie against Somerset, following King's Lynn's decisions to go up against Belle Vue in the first phase of the title decider.
Lynn, who like Poole had a triumphant conclusion to their regular league programme finished six points clear at the top of the table and elected to take on Belle Vue, a team they have beaten four times in the league this season leaving second placed Somerset as Pirates' opponents.
With the first leg of the two semi-finals being staged across separate weeks - the two second legs being battled out on the same night at the beginning of October - the Rebels invited the Pirates along to the Oaktree for the first leg on Monday 17th September, leaving Poole to host the return on Monday 1st October.
Belle Vue will stage the first leg of the other semi-final on September 24th.
