SEVEN-UP STEF MISSES CUT

Stefan Nielsen narrowly missed out on a guaranteed place in this season's British Final after scoring 7 points in his semi-final round at Sheffield last night.

Nielsen, who suffered a few knocks in his Poole debut meeting as recent as Monday finished in 9th place, two points shy of the qualifying 9 points achieved by Belle Vue duo Craig Cook and Dan Bewley.

The meeting was won by Jason Garrity who stormed to a perfect maximum and joining the Scunthorpe rider in next month's British Final at the National Speedway Stadium, Manchester will be Kyle Howarth (12), Josh Auty (12), Edward Kennett (10), Robert Lambert (10), Rory Schlein (10) and Cook and Bewley. The second semi-final is being staged at Leicester on Tuesday.
