PIRATES DECLINE PREMIERSHIP KO CUP INVITATION
Poole Speedway has made the decision not to participate in the 2025 Premiership Knockout Cup. While the invitation was both unexpected and exciting...
POOLE Speedway is delighted to confirm Grand Prix star Matej Zagar will line up at the club's prestigious 70th anniversary meeting on March 23.
The Slovenian racer will be joined by Danes Peter Kildemand and Kenneth Bjerre for the Elite Fabrication-sponsored event at Wimborne Road, with 2018 Pirates Chris Holder, Brady Kurtz, Linus Sundstrom, Kacper Woryna, Mateusz Szczepaniak and Josh Grajczonek lining up alongside household names Niels-Kristian Iversen, Hans Andersen, Bjarne Pedersen, Fredrick Jacobsen, Nicolai Klindt and Nico Covatti.
Volvo Cars Poole Pirates boss Matt Ford said: "I'm over the moon to have secured the line-up we have, with just one place to fill.
"It's very exciting to have the lies of Matej, Peter and Kenneth coming over and I'd also like to thank Elite Fabrication's Andy and Sue Rice for their support."
Supporters are urged to arrive early for the event, with the presentation starting at 7pm, as roadworks on Wimborne Road close to the stadium are likely to have an impact.
Gates to the stadium will open at 5.30pm, but the club has recommended supporters use the Dolphin Centre car park 400 metres from the stadium and walk the remaining distance to avoid the roadworks.
