R.E.F MEETS THE REF

For their final winter social event ahead of the 2018 racing campaign it will be a case of R.E.F meeting the ref when they host "INSIDE THE REFEREE'S BOX"

Described by compere for the evening, Nigel Leahy, "it is going to be an unique and innovative evening designed to give the most comprehensive and revealing insight into the world of the referee.
"Neil Vatcher is coordinating with me and we will be going through theory and instruction very close to the standard of a referees seminar.
"We will also have a practical session where we invite the audience to be the judge, and be able to vote on referee decisions in real time with a selection races on the big screen."

SCB referee Christina Turnbull, one of the most popular referees on the circuit  will also be joining Neil and Nigel to add some of her own experiences and advice to the evening.

Leahy concludes "We hope to demonstrate exactly what a referee does, before, during and after each meeting. It promises to be one of the most Intriguing events that the REF has undertaken!"

The event takes place on Wednesday 7th March at the Champs Bar, Poole Stadium with admission prices of £4 for R.E.F. members and £5 for non-members. Doors are due to open at 7pm for the 7.30pm start
