BRADY KURTZ has moved into the joint leader position in the Australian Championships after finishing second to Jack Holder in the Mildura round, the third of the four round series.
Just as he had done at Undera, Kurtz went through the heats unbeaten and began to close in on the pre-meeting championship leader Rohan Tungate who had won both the previous two rounds.
Tungate had to rely on qualification from the B final as Kurtz (15), Sam Masters (13) and Jack Holder (13) all booked their direct berths in the A final.
Holder took the honours on the night to take his series total to 36 points whilst Kurtz's runners-up spot in Mildura, ahead of Tungate levelled the scores of that pair with 45 each to their name.
The concluding round of the title race moves to Gillman on Sunday.
