PIRATES DECLINE PREMIERSHIP KO CUP INVITATION

FORMER world champion Chris Holder has completed a deal to race in Poole Pirates colours once again.
The Australian star, who clinched the world crown in 2012, will help lead the Volvo Cars Poole Pirates into the club's 70th anniversary season having agreed terms with boss Matt Ford.
The 30-year-old Sydneysider comes into the Poole one-to-seven on a 7.16 average and returns for his 10th season in the skull and crossbones, having missed out in 2017 due to team-building regulations.
Matt Ford said: "I know our supporters have been wondering for quite some time whether Chris would return to the club and I'm delighted to say he will. I think we missed his expertise and leadership around Wimborne Road last season and his place in our 2018 team can only help the likes of Brady Kurtz and Josh Grajczonek improve even further.
"Chris is a legend at Poole Speedway and I couldn't be happier that he is back in Pirates colours."
Holder's signing brings Ford's 2018 septet to five currently, with two more spaces to fill before tapes-up in March.
