ACTION STATIONS FOR THREE PIRATES

19/03/17

Three of the 2017 Poole Pirates will fire into action in the UK today (Sunday) with meetings being staged at Wolverhampton and Peterborough.

Skipper Hans Andersen and fellow Dane Nicolai Klindt team up in the Peter Karlsson Farewell meeting at Wolverhampton, under the watchful eye of the Team Recycled Aggregates manager Jan Staechmann in a seven strong pairs meeting headlined by PK himself and his partner Freddie Lindgren,

Earlier in the day Jack Holder will be turning out for his Championship side Peterborough in a challenge match against the originally declared Coventry side, one of a number of such challenges - including one at Poole on April 19th - aimed at keeping the name of one speedway's famouss clubs alive after the shock decision to put the Bees' licence on ice for the 2017 season after issues regarding their ancestral home of Brandon.

Holder will wear the number one race jacket for the Panthers in a team that includes former Poole favourite Paul Starke.

The full Poole Pirates side will assemble on Wednesday (22nd) at the club's Press and Practice Day and the first action at Wimborne Road will be on Friday 24th March, 7.30pm, when the club hosts the Darcy Ward Invitational Meeting that will include Krzysztof Kasprzak, Andersen, Kyle Newman , Brady Kurtz and Klindt
