PIRATES DECLINE PREMIERSHIP KO CUP INVITATION
Poole Speedway has made the decision not to participate in the 2025 Premiership Knockout Cup. While the invitation was both unexpected and exciting...
Poole assets Kyle Newman, Brady Kurtz and Jack Holder celebrated success yesterday by winning the Premier League Fours title for their PL club Plymouth.
The weekend-long festival meeting climaxed with a blistering ride from Brady Kurtz as he roared round the boards to complete the Devils' hugely impressive performance throughout the tournament.
The fast circuit of the Peterborough Arena suited the all-out style of the Devils, who were completed in number by Todd Kurtz despite the ex-Pirate suffering from a bout of 'flu. His win in heat 12 helped set-up the Devonshire club's assault on the title before Jack Holder looked super stylish to fire his way from last to first to win the 13th heat.
The Devils were able to build a slender lead over Workington and seeded home club Peterborough and a second place in the final heat of the day would have been sufficient for Plymouth to take the title, but Brady was insistent in doing it in style with a breathtaking ride from the back.
