PIRATES DECLINE PREMIERSHIP KO CUP INVITATION
Poole Speedway has made the decision not to participate in the 2025 Premiership Knockout Cup. While the invitation was both unexpected and exciting...
Australian champion Brady Kurtz will join two of his fellow 'ReadyPower' Pirates in the GP Challenge meeting after qualifying from a rain-affected Lonigo semi-final.
Kurtz joins Hans Andersen and Krzysztof Buczkowski in the big meeting at Vetlanda, Sweden on September 3rd where they will be just five rides away from booking a ticket to the 2017 GP series.
As with both his team-mates, Kurtz, needing a top seven finish in the meeting, opened with a third place in his qualifying round but then won his second ride before following home the unbeaten Patryk Dudek in his third outing.
Heavy rain that enforced a halt to proceedings with all riders having completed three rides and under FIM rules the result was declared leaving Kurtz in overall 6th place, whilst Craig Cook, Freddie Lindgren, Bartosz Zmarzlik all strongly tipped pre-meeting qualifiers missing the cut.
Lonigo scorers:
P.Dudek 9; T.Jedrzejak 8, M.Fricke 7, N.Covatti 7, R.Lambert 6, B.Kurtz 6, M.Smolinski 5, M.Bech 5, C.Cook 4, MJ.Jensen 4, TH.Jonasson 4, F.Lindgren 3, B.Zmarzlik 2, M.Castagna 1, D.Gappmaier 1, S.Mielniczuk 1, S.Logaczow 0.
