PIRATES DECLINE PREMIERSHIP KO CUP INVITATION
Poole Speedway has made the decision not to participate in the 2025 Premiership Knockout Cup. While the invitation was both unexpected and exciting...
The support arm of Poole Speedway will be putting up extra support this evening to Pirates' reserve Kyle Newman by means of a £500 donation,
Represeentatives of the Riders' Equipment Fund will be handing over a cheque to that amount ahead of this evening's Elite league fixture between the Pirates and Swindon Robins.
Newman, recently sidelined having contracted sepsis has been busy building himself up to fitness and showed excellent signs of a return to form during Monday's Bank Holiday win at tonight's opponents, Swindon.
Talking of the presentation, Fund organiser Stan Vatcher said "we have put Kyle's name forward as the next beneficiary of a payment this season. He is a terrfic lad and never fails to give 100% of himself. He has been through the mill a bit as far as his health has been concerned but I am sure that all Pirate fans will agree with me when I say it is great to have him back again. We are delighted to be able to give him this assistance for that is what the REF is all about."
