Kyle Newman has been released from the Royal Bournemouth Hospital and immediately wanted to thank fans for their messages of support whilst he was in hospital.
Delighted at the prospect of being able to go home, Newman stated "I was released from hospital this morning after scans revealed no new symptoms were found in my blood stream.
"Above all else I would like to thank everyone for their messages and best wishes, it really does mean a lot to me. Sorry if we've been a little vague on information but if truth be told we didn't know the full extent of my symptoms.
"When I first injured myself I caused a small internal haemorrhage and from that a 'sepsis infection' developed. Once that gets in your blood stream it can make you very ill, very quickly and can become serious.
"I've now been flushed through with anti-biotics and fluids to start clearing this out. After the scans came back with nothing else or new we knew we are already on the road to recovery.
"A return date for racing isn't known yet, but I'm sure it won't be long at all. However, I won't rush this as the last thing I want to do is aggravate this and cause a further set back.
"I need to say a big thank you to my girlfriend Sarah, my Dad and sister Jade for how quickly they realised I should be in hospital. They have been great support along with the doctors who have been a huge help in keeping things in perspective."
Kyle will now continue his recovery at home but we hope to bring you news of how he is progressing later in the week.
