PIRATES DECLINE PREMIERSHIP KO CUP INVITATION
Poole Speedway has made the decision not to participate in the 2025 Premiership Knockout Cup. While the invitation was both unexpected and exciting...
Poole's planned revised trip to Swindon on Thursday 14th April will no longer go ahead and will be subject to a further rescheduling.
The meeting was due to be ridden on Easter Sunday but was subjected to an early postponement due to weather conditions and the two promotions initially agreed on the 14th April as this was a vacant date in Swindon's calendar.
Unfortunately though, as Poole boss Matt Ford explained "When we made the decision to go there on the revised date we were working to the dates advised on the international fixture list but the list that was distributed just two days before we accepted the fixture failed to show all fixtures. On that date (14th April) there is the British U21 final which Adam Ellis is engaged in and also the Polish Golden Helmet which would have meant the unavailability of Krzysztof Buczkowski. In light of that we have agreed with Swindon to find a better alternative date in the summer."
