PIRATES DECLINE PREMIERSHIP KO CUP INVITATION
Poole Speedway has made the decision not to participate in the 2025 Premiership Knockout Cup. While the invitation was both unexpected and exciting...
Poole fans will have the chance to see the popular Kacper Gomolski grace the Wimborne Road circuit once again on Friday evening as he takes his place in the Blue Riband line-up.
Gomolski was a member of the 2015 league championship success side and produced the race victory that confirmed the Pirates their third-in-a-row title and he seems just as keen as the Pirate fans to be back in Dorset once again.
The 23 year old Pole has already put pen to paper on a contract for 2017 having agreed terms in Sweden with Dackarna, who were the Elitserien runners-up this season after losing to Rospiggarna in the play-offs and knows that Poole boss Matt Ford is casting an eye over hopefuls for the Poole team in 2017.
Ford admitted "I have a relatively clean sheet of paper as far as the team construction plans are concerned for next year and apart from a couple of riders from this year's team I am keeping my options open at this stage. Friday's Blue Riband could sway my judgement depending on what we see on show. I am sure there will be a number of riders going out to impress and that all bodes well for a good, competitive and exciting meeting.
Admission prices have been set at Adults £20 OAPS £17, Youth £8 Child £5 Under 5's Free - Family ticket (2 Adults + 2 Child) £45)
