LINDBACK HOSPITALISED

28/09/16

Title-chasing Poole have been rocked by the news that their latest signing Antonio Lindback will miss the second leg of the play-offs tonight at Wolverhampton.

Lindback who was signed as an injury replacement for Hans Andersen during the play-offs emergency signing window, has been struck with a recurrence of a stomach problem that has caused him big health problems in the past.

The Brazilian-Swede was admitted to hopsital in Sweden earlier this morning as he undergoes further tests.

Poole boss Matt Ford said "we are devastated by the news that we received early this morning. Sadly it has left the club in an awful position on the day of the most important meeting of the season. With Danny King and Chris Harris already guesting for Belle Vue and Wolverhampton respectively we have little option other than to use the rider replacement facility. That will place further burden on all the team and I can only hope the guys can carry the battle for us as we despearately want to remain on course for that fourth successive title.
