PIRATES DECLINE PREMIERSHIP KO CUP INVITATION
Poole Speedway has made the decision not to participate in the 2025 Premiership Knockout Cup. While the invitation was both unexpected and exciting...
Still in with a chance of claiming second place in the regular league table, the 'ReadyPower' Pirates have named an unchanged team from that which claimed a point at table-topping Belle Vue, when they visit King's Lynn this evening (7.30pm)
The Pirates' final league match of the campaign will see them face a Lynn side that again will be without regular number one Niels-Kristian Iversen and the home side have booked the services of British champion Danny King to cover. The Stars welcome back Nicklas Porsing who missed the Wimborne Road drubbing last week through a rib injury.
The unchanged Pirates will continue to use Australian Rohan Tungate as a guest as they seek the win which, if by 7 points or more would see them surpass Wolverhampton's 58 point finishing total. A simple victory for the Pirates would leave them level with the Wolves and with a greater 'points for' rating than the Midlanders.
Teams (from)
King's Lynn - Troy Batchelor, Kai Huckenbeck, Lewis Kerr, Danny King (guest), Robert Lambert, Nicklas Porsing, Carl Wikinson Team manager: Rob Lyon
Poole - Krzysztof Buczkowski, Adam Ellis, Chris Holder, Brady Kurtz, Rohan Tungate, Kyle Newman, Bjarne Pedersen Team manager: Neil Middleditch
