Speedway fans are being urged by Poole boss Matt Ford to join forces with AFC Bournemouth to help celebrate Warren Cummings forthcoming Testimonial.
One of AFCB's top 20 all-time appearance-maker, Cummings is to be honoured with a Testimonial match featuring Italian giants AC Milan on Saturday 3rd September. The Italian club have won the European Cup a staggering seven-times - a total only outflanked by Real Madrid - and have also won 5 UEFA Super Cups and two Cup-Winners' cups.
One of the most successful clubs in the world, 18 times their country's league champions will help commemmorate this momentous day for Cummings who holds Scottish international caps and made more than 350 professional appearances, 301 of which were for the Cherries.
His love for speedway is immense and the ex-Poole Town player is a regular spectator at Poole Speedway and good friend of Matt's. "I feel quite proud for Warren that his testimonial meeting is to be against such a world class club and I am sure that there will be many speedway fans like myself who would like to see this match, so I am looking to organise a block of tickets whereby us speedway fans can perhaps sit together and be united for Warren on September 3rd at the Vitality Stadium.
"Warren's speedway enthusiasm was so infectious that he even persuaded his father to become a club sponsor through his company FIS Chemicals."
