The evening, organised by the fund raising wing of Poole Speedway, the Rider's Equipment Fund, was hosted by Nigel Leahy, who revealed that "it was a fabulously successful evening, with 250 attending the night and raising £4,075 in the process. We heard from Darcy himself via the live link that we were able to establish and it was so nice to hear that he is in such good spirits, and it was quite something to listen to Chris (Holder) chatting to his great buddy ."
"With Chris, Davey (Watt) and Neil (Middleditch) all well up for some candid conversation it produced a thoroughly entertaining evening and I really want to go on the record to express our appreciation to our guest trio, but most of all to all the fans that turned out for the very special evening. Thanks go to all and they can genuinely say they 'did it for Darcy'.
