EASTER PREVIEW
The Poole 'Wessex Marine' Pirates face a tough opening fixture on Good Friday (6pm) when they welcome Devonshire cousins Plymouth Gladiator...
BRADY KURTZ will travel to Mildure for the final round of the Australian Championship on Sunday as the series leader following his third round victory on Friday at Gillman Speedway.
After another solid set of rides during the qualifying heats, opening with two second places (beaten by Jack Holder and Nick Morris) Kurtz then went unbeaten in his next three rides to secure the quick route to the final. Here he had to contend with Justin Sedgmen, a fellow 13-pointer, and round one winner Rohan Tungate (11) along with B-final winner Sam Masters - one of four 11 point scorers who missed the automatic cut (Holder, Max Fricke, and Morris the other three).
It was third time lucky for Kurtz after missing out on a rostrum place in the previous two rounds, coming out on top of a very tight first turn to secure the win that has edged him into the championship lead ahead of the final round on Sunday.
