PREVIEW: PIRATES HEAD TO DEVON LOOKING FOR POINTS

Eight 2015 SGP riders will be heading for Leicester on Saturday evening (7.30pm) as the British season stages its first major event of the 2015 campaign, the Elite Rider's Championship, and a brace of those Grand Prix stars will be flying the flag for Poole.
2012 ELRC (and world) champion Chris Holder will be looking to keep the title with an Australian, with his title win sandwiched between double victories for Rory Schlein (2011 and 2013) and Troy Batchelor's triumph last season, whilst victory for Poole skipper Maciej Janowski would make him the first Polish winner since the advent of the Elite League.
It will be the first visit to the Beaumont Park raceway for Holder who is satisfied that he has fully recovered from the injury that forced him to miss the latter stages of the Australian championship this winter "I am feeling good now and hoping that the wrist is fine, it's been a bit of a bleak time for me with injuries these last few seasons but I'll be going there to hopefully have a decent run out and see what happens."
Janowski though was a bit more apprehensive believing that the competition has perhaps come a bit too early in the season for his liking "For many of us we haven't been able to blow the winter cobwebs away, so for me I would have preferred it to have been a little later so that I could have sorted things out but that's not to be and it will be a matter of riding there and getting in some practice and experience."
Janowski and Holder are joined by fellow SGP competitors Troy Batchelor, Matej Zagar, Andreas Jonsson, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Chris Harris and like Janowski GP new boy for 2015, Leicester's Jason Doyle. The field is completed Mikkel Bech, Bjarne Pedersen, Kenneth Bjerre, Scott Nicholls, Freddie Lindgren, Nick Morris, Hans Andersen and Jacob Thorssell
